It’s a Friday, which means it’s always a beautiful morning when we all get to the tower. Then the beatdown started and it all went downhill.
After going over the F3 mission, core principles and disclaimer (taken seriously this time with an FNG on board), we did the usual mozi with carioca x2, nur, high knees and butt kickers. After getting back to the parking lot, we circled up for the COP with SSH, imperial walkers, strawberry pickers, windmills and hillbilly walkers. Pax were then instructed to go to the Bing Deck of the tower (named as such by Jimmy Dean for reasons that remain unclear to this day) where the main event would be based.
It was a Dora, but Dora got up on the wrong side of the bed. After a while, pax were referring to Dora by names that Brutus and YHC normally reserve for Ann Arbor. Needless to say, those aren’t normally the types of things that show up on this page so they won’t be repeated here, but you don’t need that good of an imagination….
The set of exercises for the Dora were as follows:
- 100 big boy sit ups
- 200 Carolina drydocks
- 300 mountain climbers
- 400 American hammers
The partner who wasn’t doing the exercises went down the ground floor to do 10 merkins, then came back to switch.
Here’s the kicker: after each time a group got through a complete set of exercises, the reward (for both partners) was a trip up to the top of the tower, where they each did 10 burpees. Because it’s feel good Friday!
All the groups got through most of the exercises before YHC ordered everyone up to the top at a few minutes before 6:00 to complete their last set of burpees.
After name-o-rama, time to name our FNG, and after much discussion and debate, we settled on Siri. In unrelated news, all Pax are now encouraged to switch to Android devices. We don’t know how Siri (the Apple product, not the new pax member) will react when I’m on Q next and she thinks I’m telling her to do 10 Captain Thors.

Post-beatdown 2nd F trip to Panera was great as usual, except for the staff trying to give all the food to Ripken. Does he look like he’s starving due to all of that Ragnar training?
