No Theme, No Board, No Fun

Date: 7/13/2020

Weather: 77 degrees and entirely too humid

QIC: Manziel

Pax: Barron, BP 20, Crabcakes, Goob, Lancelot, Left Turn, Manziel, Pincher, Pudge, Stagecoach, Top Secret, Trump

The morning began with Trump complaining that his wrists hurt. He claimed that this was due to the long bike ride yesterday, but the pax were obviously skeptical. Luckily no one had the time or energy to press the matter because YHC had to get the business at hand going at 5.15.

Core principles and disclaimers were recited, followed by a mozi with the normal stuff – butt kickers, nur, carioca x2 and high knees (not necessarily in that order). Lancelot, because he’s Lancelot, was up front pushing the pace so the pax got a bonus lap to ensure that the mozi consumed a sufficient amount of time. It was then off to the echo chamber for the COP with SSH, strawberry pickers, hillbilly walkers, mountain climbers, and a one-minute plank.

The Board of Pain stayed home today, so anticipation was high about what was in store. Crabcakes, whose obsession with the Manziel 3-ways is rivaled only by Rex Ryan’s obsession with feet, was sorely disappointed when it was revealed that we’d be starting off with a Dora 1-2-3. The pax paired up and combined for the following exercises: 100 leg lifts, 200 Carolina drydocks, and 300 American Hammers. Non-exercising pax took a lap around the parking lot. With that done, it was time for some sevens, with the added feature of a mode of transportation when moving between the sides of the rink instead of a plain old run. The good news is that there was only time for two sets of these, but man did they suck:

Set 1: exercises were merkins and monkey humpers, mode of transportation nur.

Set 2: exercises were big boy sit ups and lunges (count one leg only), mode of transportation was bear crawl.

The bear crawl was particularly popular. Meaning that certain comments were directed to the Q that aren’t suitable for work (well, it depends on where you work). This mercifully brought us to 6.00.

Announcements:

  • Lancelot is out for Growruck KC due to quarantine rules in Missouri. He will just run 250 miles that weekend instead.
  • Official Suncoast communications are moving from GroupMe to Slack as of August 1. Same nonsense, different app. You should be getting an email invite soon.

Prayers and Praises:

  • Injured pax, including Bing’s knee
  • Praises for Goob’s friend Ben, on the path to a miraculous recovery from cancer – thanks for all your prayers, pax
  • Police, troops, firefighters, doctors, nurses, first responders and other leaders

That’s all for today. I’m out.
