We’ve talked about making this happen earlier in the summer and finally, confirmation has been received that the weekend of October 13 will be our inaugural regional retreat at Gator Wilderness Camp School. Put it on your calendars, because it’s going to be a great weekend with plenty of action from all Fs…from a beatdown or two, some campfire COT, good food, and an inspiring and challenging speaker.
The purpose of the retreat will be twofold:
- Enrich our lives as HIM by dedicating a weekend to extra acceleration in each of our lives through intentional activities in the 3 Fs.
- Serve GWCS and bless that property to continue helping troubled boys and their families. (See the GWCS website)
Not all details are worked out, but the following is set in stone:
When: Friday, October 12 afternoon – Sunday, October 14 morning (come as you’re able)
Where: Gator Wilderness Camp School 44930 Farabee Rd, Punta Gorda, FL 33982
Who: All F3 pax, 2.0, and FNGs
**This would be a great opportunity to bring an FNG!**
What: (tentative itinerary; a packing list will be provided soon)
Friday:
- Arrival starting at 3pm
- Set up tents, campers, etc.
- Property tour
- Dinner
- 3rd F session
- Campfire COT
Saturday:
- 1st F beatdown at 6am
- Breakfast/Devotional
- Work project
- Lunch
- Work project
- 2nd F activity (aka, get Bing on the rope swing again)
- Clean up
- Dinner
- 3rd F session
- Campfire COT
Sunday:
- Breakfast
- 3rd F session
- Pack up and depart ~11am
