It’s hard to believe but it’s getting close to back to school time for the 2.0s. As we all know, many families struggle to provide their children with the necessary school supplies and this is where we can provide a lending hand.
While snagging your 2.0s school supplies, please buy a few extra items and bring them to a beatdown for collection. If you do not have a 2.0 to buy for, grab some on Amazon or feel free to contribute financially. All Q’s will be collecting the items with final collection by Bing. We will be collecting items until Wednesday, August 15. After that time, the items will be donated to the local school districts to be distributed to those in need. Supplies needed are as follows:
- Colored Pencils
- Pocket Folders
- 3-Ring Binders
- Glue Sticks
- Crayons
- Scissors
- Backbpacks
- #2 Pencils
- Notebook Paper
- Composition Notebooks
- Hand Sanitizer
- Kleenex
- Cleaning Wipes
- Markers
- Highlighters
- Erasers
- Graph Paper
- Rules
- Compasses
- Protractors
As we did last year, we are doing this drive in support of Operation Sweet Tooth. Operation Sweet Tooth is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization created in memory for the life of Christina Marie Latini. Christina unexpectedly passed away on May 6, 2016 and she was only 8 years old. To honor her memory, the mission of Operation Sweet Tooth is to keep her spirit alive by providing hope and joy to children who may be sick, less fortunate, homeless, or just need to have their spirits lifted. The goal is to provide toys, gifts, and items of need through various fund raising efforts in hope that we can have a positive impact and experience on their lives. Her father, Olive, is a fellow Pax brother from the F3 Lake Norman/Huntersville, NC region. If you would like to learn more about this great organization, please visit operationsweettooth.org
Christina’s F3 nickname was Sweet Tooth.
