The BackBlast:

Today was a day to honor the fallen soldiers that gave us all our freedoms.  After the 5CP and Mission statement, PorkRoll led us off with the singing of the Star Spangled Banner.

Kudos to Kotter for building a 4 man pullup bar.  Many coupons filled the need when the pax met their limit on pullups.

The Murph

1 mile run

100 pullup

200 merkins

300 squats

1 mile run

We mixed in a few warmups to get started, then most pax worked in small groups doing sets of each exercise to get it done.  Everyone, except YHC, completed.

At COT, we started with a moment of silence and the playing of Taps.

Unbeknownst to most pax, this was also YHC’s retirement party.  The Nantan torch would be passed to Brutus, but not before a few words and thanks were said.  The pink shirt was very symbolic to how we pick up our Six, in the toughest of times.  I wouldn’t be the man I am without the fitness, fellowship and faith boost has given.

After the flag was passed, Brutus laid down the groundwork for a new era to come.  Our new 3rd F Q led us out in prayer.

It was a great day.

Ripken out!
