Date: June 17, 2023 / Saturday AO: Echo Chamber QIC: Pork Roll
Our Saturday at the Echo Chamber began with a dynamic warm-up which started with a little mosey, priming us for the main course of the workout. This comprised two rounds of an 18-exercise circuit, each exercise performed for 1 minute in AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) style. The twist? We rolled out the foam exercise dice in between the two rounds, which added an array of unpredictable and exhilarating calisthenics moves into the mix.
Here’s the breakdown of the core circuit, with a sprinkle of Echo Chamber lingo:
- Side Straddle Hops
- Mountain Climbers
- Push the Rock
- Pass and Squat with Medicine Ball
- Pass and Squat with Medicine Ball (Round 2)
- Freddy Mercs
…and 9 others…
Every man at the Echo Chamber met the challenge head-on. Between the planned bodyweight routine and the wildcard exercises from our dice roll, we traversed a spectrum of strength, endurance, and cardio workouts. The sweat was real, but so was the satisfaction. We all left the hockey rink soaked from head to toe.
A tip of the cap to each PAX member for their unwavering grit and commitment.
Our Circle of Trust reflected on the strength and camaraderie within our ranks. We announced upcoming events, including the June Fellowship Night at Ed’s Tavern in downtown Lakewood Ranch on Tuesday, June 20th, a Beach Day on Saturday, July 15th organized by Big Mac, and an impending sunset ruck trip led by Bubbles.
We offered up prayers for our brother Ripken for his swift and complete recovery from injuries. Our thoughts extended to all other PAX who may be in need of prayers and support at this time.
Once again, great work today, gentlemen. Until the next challenge, stay strong, and see you all soon.
