The BackBlast:

Weather:  Hot and Steamy

The pax have run many various routes as of late, purely with the intention of getting new runners out and keeping together as much as possible.  Figure 8’s, bridge repeats, Strava segment hunting and the sort…today was all about going back to our roots…and tackling our initial Ft Hamer route. Head over the bridge, into Waterlefe.  We had 50 minutes to complete our run and return to COT.  Regardless of your pace, run the out and back route and turn around at 25 minutes.  It’s that easy.

2 HIM chose to hit the bridge for rucking.  Maui chose to lead the pax across the bridge and return for bridge repeats.  The remainder of the pax headed to the neighborhood and get as far as they could in 25 minutes.  The majority made it to the culdesac while others obliged and turned around in 25 minutes.  All were on pace to get back with a strong negative split until Kotter decided to test his ability on the neighborhood gate and was subsequently visited by Paul Blart.  All was repaired and off Kotter and Yahama went to finish their run.

Upon returning to the parking lot, the men returned to the bridge to pick up the six.  This should be customary versus just running laps around the parking lot.

Great effort by all.  Special kudos to Kotter for getting WAY out of his comfort zone to hit a running AO, knowing the rewards are great!

Always a pleasure to lead this amazing group of men.
