NOTE NOTE NOTE – this was a Guest / DR Q by Puddin’

Pre-blast: YHC advised Suncoast via Slack of the DR Q.  Tepid response with 3 HC’s.  And 21 posted.  Really?  Hmmmm.

PREP: SIte Q made sure Puddin’ knew to go to Dillards (NBP closed due to Circus): Mission Accomplished.  Start time?:  Well, we missed that.

WEATHER: 72F

It was a Puddin’ no show @ 5:15, so YHC / Site Q forgot the 5 core principles and started a mosey ‘round the parking lot w/high knees, butt kickers, arms out, side shuffle x 2.  Circle up for SSH, strawberry pickers, leg stretches, agitators, Michael Phelps, merkins.  There was no beatdown in YHC’s pocket, so Bing took the reigns and was setting up for some 4 corner BOMBS, when Puddin’ rolled up, all ready – for the 5:30AM start.  Oops.

Puddin’ took over with a planned circumnavigation of UTC mall.  Non running option given for (4) pax – loop around the mall in the opposite direction, meet up with the main group and all return together.  Timing was a little tighter with the late Thang start, but time was made up.  The route was counter-clockwise around the mall, with 5 intermittent stops for 10 burpees, 20 WW2’s and 30 squats at each stop.  Bing and others kept with the 6.  The non-runners were met close to the launch point and finished up with the runners.  A solid 1.8 miles covered and heart rate kept fairly high.  YHC is proud of those for whom running is out of their comfort zone that committed to the run option.

SUMMARY: Lesson learned on advising Guest Q’s of Suncoast start time – Suncoast kicks it off a little earlier than most 5:30AM starts @ other regions / AOs.  Going all the way around the mall felt like a nice accomplishment.
