Mostly clear 67 degrees.  Humidity 91%—Fantastic conditions for speedwork

On his drive to the Fort YHC, as he flipped through channels on SiriusXM, quickly realized it was going to be a great day.  YHC landed on “Mama Said Knock You Out” followed by old school Public Enemy and then “Son of a Sailor” by Jimmy Buffett on his way into the parking lot.

Thinking his day couldn’t get any better, YHC was ecstatic to see the arrival of 13 additional PAX into the parking lot.  Welcome DR guest WoodRider from F3 Chattanooga.  I know above it says there were 14 additional PAX….someone, DeFib, had a late arrival and joined us for COT at the end.

The THANG

YHC announced that we would head into the neighborhood and run the small loop and return to the parking lot for COT between 0600-0605.  YHC announced that his plan was to work on speedwork today by running 1 mile at a pre-determined pace followed by .5 mile recovery and his plan was to repeat this 3x’s.  YHC challenged the PAX in attendance to push themselves out of their comfort zones and do the same workout or just increase their normal pace.  The PAX did not disappoint….the number of PAX that earned trophies and achieved PR’s today was IMPRESSIVE!!!!  Way to step up and push yourselves.

On the Strava App leaderboard for the short loop segment….10 out of the top 11 times were achieved today!
