The BackBlast:

Weather: 66 and humid

Over the last few of my Q’s, there’s been a disturbing trend of famous people dying the day before. Last time, it was John Madden. Today, it was Bob Saget. Maybe that’s a sign that everyone else should be signing up for Qs…

At 5.15 the course was set up and YHC began the beatdown with the usual lame version of the core principles and disclaimer. Then we launched on a mozi with butt kickers, high knees, nur and carioca x2. We got back for a COP with SSH, windmills, strawberry pickers, mountain mans, hillbilly walkers, Michael Phelps and arm circles.

The thang was a version of 4 corners that we used to do in the hockey rink at AP back in the good old days, only this time the corners were on the sidewalks of the little street between the Winn Dixie liquors (which we learned was a favorite of Stagecoach’s watch) and Keke’s. Each corner had a sheet with a list of 5 exercises and a mode of transportation to the next corner. Start at corner 1, do the first exercise for 60 seconds, then you have 30 seconds to get to the next corner. The whole process repeats itself until you’ve hit all 4 corners a total of 5 times in order to get through each of the lists. Exercises went as follows:

Corner 1:

  1. Carolina drydocks
  2. Merkins
  3. Shoulder taps
  4. Moroccan nightclubs
  5. Overhead claps

Side shuffle to corner 2

Corner 2:

  1. Lunges
  2. Salsa dips
  3. Monkey humpers
  4. Calf raises
  5. Hello Dolly

Crab walk to corner 3

Corner 3:

  1. Big boy situps
  2. Gas pumps
  3. LBCs
  4. American hammers
  5. Flutter kicks

Toy solders (part of the way) to corner 4

Corner 4:

  1. Burpees
  2. Peter Parker
  3. Burpees
  4. Mountain climbers
  5. Burpees

Bear crawl to corner 1

The overload on burpees in corner 4 was a nod to everyone doing the MABA challenge. Everyone else was pissed. In fact, a few of the MABA people were pissed. We had a few minutes left at the end for a round of Mary and surprisingly, no one called for more of them.
