A normal August Florida morning. Maybe a breeze. Same old. Will be same tomorrow.
Mozy & Warmup:
The usual. Strawberry Pickers, Windmills, Imperial Walkers, etc. 15 of each.
First Round was a ladder. Smurf had a bit of difficulty explaining it. Basically, you did the first exercise, then first and second exercise, etc. For the last round, you were doing each exercise. The exercises were:
- 10 Calf Raises
- 20 Curb Dips
- 30 Flutter Kicks
- 40 Overhead Claps
- 50 Hammers
Those intrepid enough could add a burpee at the end. Some actually did but QIC did not.
Second round was a bit of four corners. Pretty simple. Each corner of the parking lot was an exercise, and you had to do the round of the parking lot three times. Transportation was to be invented yourself, though you could Nur on the long ends as a slowdown. Each corner had 20 Carolina Dry-docks, 20 Squats, 20 Merkins and 20 scissor kicks. Those finished would run base of tower.
Last round, to fill in a 10 minute gap before 6 a.m., was set of 7’s back and forth along the parking lot. At one end, dying cockroaches and another, scorpions.
Prayers: General thanks for us, and our health and being able to be there. Prayers for our frontline workers, and Afghanistan, as well as New Orleans. Special appreciation from one of the Pax who has found great peace and solace in the midst of great family transition through Faith.
