Dark, 98 degrees (with wind chill factor) and stanky.  These are the conditions we found upon approaching AP this gloom.  The stanky part was likely due to Stagecoach and Sir Wallace doing a little EC.

The beatdown started with the Mission Statement, Credo and Five Core Principals.  How else would it start, you may say?  I’m glad you asked.  Leaders lead by example and this should be the way all beatdowns start.  For FNGs, they’ll quickly see that this isn’t just another workout; for existing Pax, they’ll reconfirm why they got out of bed.  We also a new leadership position for all beatdowns…the Sweeper.  Sir Wallace was named the Sweeper today.  The Sweepers role is to keys eyes on the six and to always pick them up.  If you have a beatdown, pick a Sweeper.

Right out the gate, Grady Corn showed up to a 100 count.  With properly warmed shoulders, we headed out for a traditional mozy.

The “Thang” went down in the EchoChamber.  It was called a Bear-muda Triangle.  If you need more info, check your email for the Opord (Operations Orders) for the week.

Following that we did 10, 20, 30 of Swing crunches, back to Echo for SSH, Dips on picnic tables, back to Echo for SSH, and lastly Step Ups on the tables, back to Echo for SSH.  Airwolf set the pace, but several were close behind.

Thank you Flop sweat.  I think Posh was sweating blood.  YHC was sweating Coconut Creme Pie from Father’s Day!

In between we did Plank series.  Regular, Saws, Southern Gentleman, and its twin the Northern Aggressor.  The Bridge and Wrist down Plank also made a cameo appearance.  Water breaks were short and met with burpees for those not honoring the time limit given.

We ended with another 100 Grady Corn…that was a bad idea.
