On a balmy 52 degree morning, Ripken was late to his Q. It was his 2.0’s fault though. Hollywood promised to attend, but had no idea what an alarm clock is.
At roughly 5:20, Ripken arrived and 3 pax were diligently warming up with a mozy. No idea if 5 core values were espoused or not.
The workout was a station workout with coupons. Various dumbbells and medicine balls were available for pain management. Each pax chose a station and the games begin. Each exercise was done for 25 reps using the coupon, if possible. Upon completion, the coupon was carried overhead for a loop around the lot. Put down coupon and choose another station/coupon. The exercises spelled Xmas Blimps.
X – X pulls (pull coupon up from right foot to left hand, switch sides)
M – Morning Woods (a get up with coupon held up with one hand the whole time)
A – American Hammers
S – Shoulder Taps
B – Blades of Steel (merkins with no elbow bend)
L – Leg Raises
I – Imperial Walkers
M – Merkins
P – Peter Parkers
S – Salsa Dips
We completed with about 1o minutes to kill. Therefore, we did 3 sets of 10 of plank rows with weights. After this we made it through 4 sets of Round of Mary. Not the hardest workout you’ll ever do, but Sully’s boy, Noonan, proudly spilled Merlot. Pretty fun to do COT prayers while someone is chunking 10 yards away!
Announcements: Get your butt and someone else’s butt to 1/8 convergence. Bridge of Life 5K in February.
Prayers: Some empty chairs at Christmas this year. Keep the reason in the season, and pray for those for whom Christmas is tougher this year.
