The BackBlast:
We met at the pavilion as usual, but with a few doing an Ironman and some others training for a marathon, most in attendance were non-runners. Maybe putting the word out that I would not be doing much running today, scared some away!
So after the five core principles were stated, we took off on a mozey, straight to the basketball court.
Today was a memorial, Their Name is Your Workout, the following was read:
“On Thursday, August 26th, an attack outside the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, killed 13 U.S. service members supporting Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.
Eleven Marines, one Navy corpsman and one Army soldier were “killed as the result of an enemy attack while supporting non-combatant evacuation operations, according to a press release from the Department of Defense.”

There were three names at three stations and a fourth name at one station. PAX were divided into four groups. The PAX were instructed to work individually on the excercises for each of the three names at each station. The number of the reps were the age of the service member. When completed, bear crawl to the next station and workout for the next name on the list. We finished at the fourth station with all PAX working out for the 13th name.
As we ended we had a moment of silence for these fallen men and women.
We finished right on time honoring all of the heros.
Announcements: 2nd F Thursday at the Parror on SR70. Wildpax.
Prayers: I am sorry, I cannot remember them, but continued prayers for all of our PAX, and their prayer requests. The 13 service members we honored this morning.
It was a pleasure leading my first time at AP this glorious day.
