The BackBlast:

This was a workout inspired by Big Mac and some of the leadership he’s shown with PAX. The aim of the workout was to produce discussion on what we’re afraid of and how we deal with it.

After a mosey and a warm up exercise we did a 4 corners exercise:

  • 25 Flutter kicks
  • 25 Elbows to Knees
  • 25 American Hammers
  • 25 Rock Pushes

We did 4 circuits in pairs. Every time we completed a circuit, we got a question to think about during the next circuit and answer with our partner after the circuit:

  • What fears keep you up at night?
  • How do you deal with fear?
  • What fears have you overcome in your life?

I think the exercise produced a good workout and helped the PAX understand each other better.

Oh, and of course we wrapped up with a almost-burpee exercise. This was a fire drill from the F3 Exicon:

“PAX in a circle, chopping feet or high knees. Each PAX calls out “Fire” all PAX hits the ground rolls right, merkin, roll back left, another merkin, then back up chopping. Go around the circle with the “stop, drop and roll” until all PAX have called “Fire”.”
