Oh..what do we see? A 10-minute late Chili Pepper arriving in the parking lot right when the word Burpee is mentioned?
The Thang
The pax counted off by 3 to break up the group in size. Each group was encouraged to fill the role of THE PUNISHER – As if Pincher was in town (on vacation). Don’t let ANYONE slack or fall into their comfort zone through-out the entire workout.
First up was the Bearmuda Triangle. Start with a 1 rep of said exercise and transport to the next cone. Round 2 – 2 reps, round 3 – 3 reps. Modification included a multiple of 5 on some of the exercises.
- Bearmuda Original – Burpees with Bear Crawl – 3 rounds
- LBCs w/ Crab walk (5, 10, 15)
- Salsa Dips w/ Lunge walk (5, 10, 15)
- Bearmuda Original – end with how we started
With the final short mosey back to the starting point and a round of LBCs until 6am hit (1 min 15 seconds).
A few rounds of “is that all you got” were yelled, as the pax were eager to push one another in Pincher the Punisher style.
Moleskin:
YHC confessed to having begun to slip into his comfort zone recently. The temptation to fartsack was strong. The weather was colder (relatively speaking), body was creaking – overall, the mind was slipping to negative thoughts. With pax like Pincher, Brutus and Ripken eager to drag me out of the funk, I am back. Let’s learn from YHC’s mistake and be the Pincher, Brutus and Ripken to the rest of the pax that might be slipping into that space. Even for those regular posting pax, how do we step out of our comfort zones and accelerate even more. See a Pax slacking at a beatdown, CALL THEM OUT. Know someone who should be out more but isn’t, CALL THEM OUT.
2021 is right around the corner. New years resolutions are BS, but creating habits isn’t. Create the habit to accelerate your fitness, fellowship and faith on a daily basis, and DEFY THE SIFTER. It’s easy to slip through the bottom of the sifter and fall…acknowledge this and don’t let it happen to you or your brothers!
Thank you Pincher, Brutus and Ripken!! And once you start feeling comfortable, remember “IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?”
