On the 4th day of the 5th month, 6 pax assembled (eventually) to do their merkin quota for Master Yoda.
Ok, dad-joke level rhyming aside, this was a tabata stye workout that started with a mosey (butt-kickers, high knees, karaoke, nur, toy soldiers, and side shuffle) followed by SSH, strawberry pickers, windmills, and of course Imperial Walkers!
60 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest for 5 exercises followed by 2 1/2 minutes for a run around the Winn-Dixieland parking lot
Set 1: Merkins, Long swimmers, WWII situps, Moroccan Nightclubs (or Mos Eisley Cantinas?), and Squats
Set 2: Merkins, Plank, LBCs, Overhead Claps, Speed skaters
Set 3: Merkins (sensing a pattern?), Bridge (switch legs at 30 secs if doing single leg), Banana hammocks (switch sides at 30 secs), SSH, Hello Dollies
Set 4: Merkins, Push the Rock, Reverse Crunch, Step back lunges, and CRUNCHY FROG
The pax did outstanding despite the gloom (dark side?).
Announcements have become fairly standard with the SUP and Run behind us (Beach CSAUP on 5/14 and WildPax in November), but I'm sure some more events will be getting filled in soon enough.
TaPs: Praises for daughters succeeding in academics (Wolverine); prayers for Bubbles and his M regarding some behavioral challenges with his daughter; praises that Fireball's two vehicles that have been in the shop should be back very soon; prayers for AirWolf and his M regarding toilet training and a malfunctioning clothes dryer.
Added prayers for all pax who may be struggling mentally or with physical health or injury and any friends or family in that same situation.
In the end, maybe it was summed up best in these words, "Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try."
