For those who aren’t familiar, Tabata workouts are sets of exercises for 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off. We did 8 sets per round alternating back and forth between 2 different exercises each round with a total of 5 rounds, we did a 1 lap mosey between each round. This is one of my favorite workouts to do when I have the Q, its all about the combinations and how you mix it up. This morning it looked like this:
Round 1: Merkins/Flutter Kicks
Round 2: Burpees/Side Planks (Muffin Tops) w/ Dips
Round 3: Temper Tantrums/Rock Push
Round 4: Step up Lounges/Dry Docks
Round 5: Mountain Climbers/Break Dancers
There was a strong influence of the choices from the Tuesday regulars Muffin Tops/Blade Runner, Temper Tantrums and Rock Push/Olympus. It was pointed out that the round that stopped the mumble chatter more than the rest was the Mountain Climbers/Break Dancers.
COT: I brought to attention something I have struggled with a lot recently, negativity coming from people surrounding me and it made me really think about and make sure I am a positive person for others in my life. As it turns out there are others in the group who are also dealing with this in different ways so keep them in your TAPS as we all probably deal with this to varying degrees.
