YHC posted on Slack a 20 mile segment loop with a challenge to hit it today. As YHC rolled in only Ripken was there, so the mind started to wonder if I had scared off the others. But to YHC delight the others came rolling in, as time to launch approached. So we called off our names, did a prayer and off we went. This wasn’t the prettiest of a group rides, as the group quickly fell apart and more turned into a chase, chase the PAX that is in front of you. Ripken lead the way all the way to the point YHC could no longer see his tail light, thanks Ripken I love the push and will promise to keep closing that gap.

YHC did learn today though that we are still stronger as a group, coming up short on the Segment PR, second best time for myself this gloom. If YHC would have announced stay together and ride at a 21-23 pace, we all would have finished with new PR together.

In hindsight this would have been a better outcome, lesson learned.
