Start off this ride was one we hope to never see again. As YHC pulled in with CottonTail in 2nd position of the clowncar, some flashing lights were noticed. It was soon discovered there was a tragic accident, that no family deserves to face. Even though it was none of our PAX it still hits home and a 2.0 conversation is in order today, we should all use this a teaching moment. Prayers over the entire situation and for the families that will be directly involved.

On a more positive note, today was the official Split AO Cycling launch for NBP and we were graced with a visit from Dasani. As a few of us finished the EC (1 lap @ 5 am), we rolled in to meet Dasani and Ripken. There had been some pre-discussions on slowing the pace to be sure to not drop the 6…and although the intent was good the result was, this was definitely NOT needed. As we have been focusing on the QSource and to expect the unexpected, here’s a perfect example. Don’t expect to be faster than someone or you might just find yourself not giving another HIM the credit he deserves. It was mighty impressive to witness this turn of events, and see a PAX unleashed to what they themselves might not have though possible. A much needed positive finish to this gloom.
