4:05a rolled around and the thought of fartsacking crossed the mind…late night with family guests….such a great excuse…but wait, let me check the schedule…and up we go…YHC is ruck Q… After a quick Ruck WOD search online, it was time to hit the AO.
Attendance was light, assuming many folks are sneaking in one last vacation before school starts..or they elected to Fartsack, as I had thought to do (bad thoughts…)….but regardless – After the birthday boy (Snapshot) shared the core principles, we took off for a ruck warm up that included some fast walking, curls, overhead press and big boy sit ups….and it was time to get back to basics….
AMRAP for 20 minutes of the following:
- 10 Overhead Press
- 20 Merkins (ruck on back)
- 30 Big Boy situps (ruck on chest)
- 40 Squats (Ruck on chest)
- 100m Ruck
We were able to complete 3+ rounds with some modifications, and a quick reminder that Triathlon training doesn’t focus enough on much above the waist…but it was a great effort by both. Fellowship was high, and heart rate was high also!
We rounded out the last 7 minutes with another ruck around the fire station and the AO itself.
Strong effort, strong fellowship and strong sweat stains were left behind.
Announcements/Prayers/Praises to be shared with the Bootcamp BB.
Always an honor to lead, and even better honor to NOT FARTSACK.
