YHC arrived a few minutes before the scheduled 6AM start time with 5 pax already having logged about 20 miles and a near miss of an armadillo by Cottontail.

Crabcakes commanded to COR and NOR and took us out in prayer.

CrabCakes, Fireball and Trump were done @ 6.

No one was on the Q schedule, and Cottontail and Pincher didn’t seem real picky about the route, so YHC suggest the “Matrix” / Country Club Loop, with (1) big loop and a couple of runs at 2 different sprint segments inside the loop.

Usual route Lorraine to Hidden River then south on LWR then left into Country Club.  Balmoral Woods was recently paved and very smooth (except for the brick crosswalks).

Pretty quick pace around the 4.75M loop @ 21.5mph and a 2nd place all time for YHC.  Pincher held up for YHC and Cottontail (and doesn’t know the loop yet), otherwise would have certainly exceeded 22mph.

Cottontail took off after the loop and YHC and Pincher attacked the segments.  Both have an ascent at the end that really takes the wind out of your sails.  YHC was not able to beat personal bests established a month prior; all runs were between 20-23.  Pincher took a 4th place all time on Legacy Hill (0.44M) and all 4 runs on these 2 segments right at 26mph.  Better knowledge of start and stop points next time, and Pinch will be faster, certainly on Legacy Hill.

Headed out back on Balmoral and Pincher hit 30mph as registered by the digital readout speed limit sign.

All made it home safe, Cottontail cleaned out his soiled cycling shorts.
