The BackBlast:

Humidity was high and the DR pax outnumbered the Suncoast pax for a tabata-style beatdown. 7 pax (4 were DRs -- where was F3 Suncoast?!); WX: 79 degrees and HUMID w/ light precip. DR Pax included Prep H (St Louis), Pilly Blanco (Jackson/Ridgeland, MS; hope I didn't spell that nickname wrong -- forgot to ask!), and now nearly regulars Breaststroke and Mulch (F3 Alamo)

Started with a mosey (butt-kickers, high knees, karaoke, nur, and toy soldiers) followed by 10x SSH IC before...

The Thang:

Set 2: Merkins, Plank, LBCs, Overhead Claps, Speed skaters

CoT:
Announcements: Fort DeSoto triathlon on 8/21 for any looking to get a shorter one out of the way possibly; Augusta half-Ironman is Sept 25th; WildPax is the weekend before Thanksgiving (more info coming); Fireball has two opening's for Ragnar (DEC 2-3) still to fill
TaPs: Mrs. Doubfire and Pete (Usher's friend) continue to need prayer, but here are some additional from today's pax: Breaststroke's M's aunt, Janice, is in hospice care for cancer -- prayers for her and the family around her; AirWolf's aunt, Dolores, have two brain tumors removed recently and is undergoing chemo and various therapies -- prayers for determination and recovery; DR pax Pilly Blanco is a chaplain with the Ridgeland, MS Police Dept and one of their officers who he knew well, Ray Daniels, committed suicide very recently -- prayers for that family and those who knew him inside and outside the PD.

Take this last one as a reminder to reach out to pax and other people in your life and know that suicide is an unfortunately very real problem (has been and appears that it will continue to be). If you find yourself low, know the YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We all need each other.
