YHC has a fondness for reprising BD’s that have been put together by some great folks from other regions. Today we took some notes from Angus. I pulled into the park a little before 5:30 and shortly thereafter received a message from one of our HIMs alerting me that he was not feeling well. 5:30 was approaching, but so was another vehicle and out popped another PAX. We convened near the portico, the preamble and disclaimer were given, then the PAX headed toward Centennial Blvd. Once at the corner of the park and the road, PAX gathered for SSHs, weedpickers, Michael Phlepses, windmills, and hillbillies.
PAX then moseyed down the secret street back toward the Rec Center. Halfway to the roundabout, PAX set up for 15 each of jumpsquats, lunge steps (single count), plank jacks, and more lunge steps back. Then shoulder taps (single count), lunges steps, mountain climbers, and back again for more lunges steps.
Bear BOMBS were then introduced on the other side of the grassy knoll. PAX would work together to complete 50 burpees, 100 overhead claps, 150 merkins, 200 BBSs, and 250 squats. PAX A begin the work whilst PAX B moseys down near the cars, then bear crawls out about 10 yards, performs two inchworms and crawl bears back to the sidewalk to Bernie Sanders back to the beginning. PAX flapjack and continue. We got up to the squats and YHC called for one more round each before time.
It’s a privilege to work with the fine HIMs of the Port Charlotte area. I am thankful each day for these men.
