Posh came down with a bug and had to give up the Q, so YHC grabbed it (had to fulfill the monthly September commitment to show face @ the Hamer).

Few were expected to post, as the tri boys rested up a few days before Augusta. Pincher don’t need no stinking rest and had logged a couple miles by the time 5:15 rolled around.

YHC kept it simple and assigned bridge repeats @ 2 full round trips then a half to the cut-out and return. By doing so, we’d be able to check on Newman, who did his typical run over the bridge and stop for burpees and other exercises.  It’s frightening when Newman lays low exercising at the dark bridge cut-out and then scares the shit out of runners as they prance by…

Pace increased steadily from 9:50 1st mile to 9:00 on mile 4.  Pincher and Enron picked up the pace on the 1/2 repeat. 3 runners returned to parking lot.  YHC addressed a code red while Pincher finished some parking lot loops. Enron picked up Newman and we wrapped it up. great conversation and good to run with some HIMs vs usual Thursday solo run.

Prayers and patience for Newman and the situation with Charlene and Alzheimer’s.  Brutus M’s FIL after his fall Wednesday and bruised knee.  Safe travels and good wishes to the tri boys.  Prayers for this screwed up country and world.  VMA Saturday Success this weekend.  Laps for Life Sunday October 16.
